Beer & Cheese Event at Orlando Brewing

Saturday August 3rd Orlando Brewing will be partnering with a new locally owned and operated premier cheese shop, La Femme du Fromage, to bring our handcrafted, local & organic brews together with handcrafted, farmstead & artisan cheeses. Five of our favorite Orlando Brewing beers — including our new orange and coriander wit bier — have been artfully paired with 5 cheeses we didn’t even know existed — we certainly had never tried cave-aged sheep and goat milk cheese from Vermont before! This pairing will take place twice on the 3rd, once between 4:00pm and 5:30pm & then again at 6:30pm – 8:00pm, and will be $20 to participate.

This pairing is part of a new initiative to bring Orlando Brewing together with other local Orlando-based businesses. In May, during American Craft Beer Week, we coordinated with Ella Kapul, a local food artisan and owner of The Chocolate Provocateur for a beer and chocolate pairing. Fifty pairings we prepared, and thanks to a great response from the craft beer community, we sold all fifty. We are excited to work with Ella again in the near future!

The beer and chocolate pairing was a learning experience and this one will be organized a little differently. We will have 50 parings available that will be split between two groups of 25. The pairings will be lead by cheese guru Tonda Nazario, owner of both La Femme du Fromage and Tonda’s Kitchen, a catering company with green initiatives. Tonda will guide tasters through the pairing, teaching them both how to taste the cheeses in conjunction with the beer and about the cheeses themselves.

Stick around after the first paring to join us for our free 6 ‘clock brewery tour. Hang out after to enjoy the summer night with cold organic beer and our monthly drum circle (8pm-12am).

This is a pre-pay, RSVP event! Please stop by our taproom or CLICK on the attached link to purchase through PayPal.
