The Elbow Room was super inviting with their hip twist on traditional mac & cheese. The handwritten dry erase board specials & outdoor seating drew me in instantly plus the name was pretty cool too. With the blessings of our very hospitable and informative cashier, I ordered the Vegan Queso Fundino with tortilla strips, avocado, soy chorizo, jalapeños and topped with cilantro. It was pretty awesome and jammed packed full of flavor. It was the perfect balance of creamy, crunchy, spicy and fresh. Even with the abundance of ingredients, the mac & cheese was still the star of every bite. Each component I listed was apparent and carried its wait in the $8 bowl – especially the tortilla cream & avocado crunch collision… it was addictive. The Elbow Room will definitely be a spot I frequent.
