Street Eats: Burger Fi [Winter Park, FL]

Who: Burger Fi

What: Burger Fi Cheeseburger (Double natural Angus burger, double American cheese, lettuce, tomato, and BurgerFi® sauce), Veg Fi Burger (Crisp quinoa burger, white cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, and BurgerFi® sauce served on multigrain bun), Fresh Cut Fries with Parmesan Cheese & Herbs, Boylan’s Cream Soda

Where: On Park Ave in Winter Park, Florida

Why: A new take on a classic burger will never get old.  The bread was fresh, lightly toasted and didn’t intrude on the burger & topping flavors. The cheeseburger carried a solid carhop fare taste, with a crispy edge patty, melted til burger coating cheese, a special sauce very close to ketchup & mayo combo and fresh toppings.  And the quinoa burger was high on the flavor scale and didn’t leave you feeling too healthy  – even with the multigrain bun. No burger is complete without fries, so to jazz up it with topping is fried bliss.  I added grated parm cheese and herb which was a tad salty, didn’t accompany the fries well and not as mouth pleasing as I would have hoped but it was fun to try something new (I think fresh shaved parm cheese would have been much better).
